Manuel David, originally from Honduras, won an AFS scholarship based on academic achievement and community service when he was 16. He returned to the U.S. to attend Heald Institute of Technology and later DeVry University, working as an intern at a local systems integrator.
After graduation he joined that company, rising from panel shop work to Manager of Vision Systems. He also studied project management at Keller Graduate School of Management.
He then joined a firm that implemented projects worldwide, with most of his assignments in Asia and South America. He became one of 5 project managers in a company of 200, planning, organizing and staffing projects ranging in value from $150,000 to $10 million.
Mr. David founded Global Control Systems in 2000. He found his calling in working on complex batch and continuous process systems. Building on this strength, he assembled a stellar staff of process project managers and engineers to meet the demanding requirements of FDA-regulated companies and high speed discrete manufacturing.
