Global Control Systems (GCS), a Lenexa-based automation and controls engineering firm was presented with the 2007 Bronze Supplier of the Year Award by Bayer Healthcare’s Animal Health Division. The award recognizes best-performing local suppliers.
The primary criteria for consideration include:
- Consistency in meeting/exceeding agreed-upon expectations
- Achievements in cost reduction efforts/working capital initiatives
- Continuous, measurable improvement in the quality of goods and services provided
GCS was selected from approximately 600 local suppliers. Says Bayer, “Global Control Systems has consistently delivered outstanding controls engineering services to Bayer. They provide assistance with projects from inception to completion, providing whatever resources are necessary to get all the projects completed on schedule."
And according to Bayer Engineering, “GCS’s extensive knowledge of our processes and systems allows them the ability to identify areas for improvement and cost savings during all phases of our projects."
In 2007, GCS was named Supplier/Distributor of the year by the US Small Business Administration’s Kansas City office. The award was presented during the annual Small Business Division and Minority Enterprise Development Week at the Kansas City Downtown Marriot Hotel. The event celebrated 25 years of Kansas City-style Minority-owned Business Enterprise (MBE) growth.
The award recognizes the top MBE achiever that year. GCS was selected from a pool of thousands of area small businesses for exhibition of outstanding service to the industries it serves and to the community.
